Today I developed the personas and relationship between Alessandro and I for the show.

I was thinking that we reflect each other as the "artist" archetype: him as the artist doing live paintings and bringing materials and impulses in and out of the performance space, and me the artist actually but also the main soloist. So we're like twins or mirror reflections at a more meta-level.

With and through Alessandro I could explore themes of sexuality, artist archetype, and being a child.

For this video, we made a structure based off of the session we were having that seemed to have a very interesting flow. So we recreated it to capture materials.

One note is that he said I was doing Phallo Dancing, which is me dancing all horny...something that could be ineresting in terms of a body which lets down its borders and containments in order to be free in terms of body, sexuality, and expression through movement.

A big idea that came from here was that each performer has a moment of a dance breakout...where they dance to a song from their childhood that elicits the pure desire to dance. In the video, I copy Alessandro as a way to taste some of that dance pleasure.

Ideas for how the quartet could work. Simple scores for them to do that are more task=based. I don't have so much time with everyone to do tight composition, so it's more like setting a frame or situation that is clear and then I can find my way through.
